SEVENTEEN’s Joshua Inspires Youth at UNESCO Event

PARIS, 25 June 2025 - Joshua, a member of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN, delivered a heartfelt message to young people worldwide during a special event at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on June 25, 2026. Speaking as a UNESCO Youth Ambassador, he urged the audience: “Never let anyone, not even yourselves, diminish your dreams.”

The event, titled “UNESCO x SEVENTEEN: Celebrating Youth, Creativity and Well-Being Together,” highlighted the success of ongoing youth support programs and introduced an expanded initiative called the Global Youth Grant Scheme. Joshua explained that the passion and creativity of young people had inspired SEVENTEEN to broaden their support, aiming to amplify the impact of youth-led projects.

Reflecting on SEVENTEEN’s decade-long journey, Joshua emphasized the importance of teamwork and solidarity. He noted that while each member has pursued individual paths through unit and solo activities, these experiences have strengthened the group as a whole. He encouraged young people to embrace collaboration, saying, “We are on the same path in creating a better world. Let’s continue moving forward together.”

Joshua closed his speech by pledging that SEVENTEEN would remain a supportive voice for youth, standing alongside them in their pursuit of dreams and growth.
